Unnat Bharat Abhiyan
Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) is a flagship program of the Ministry of Education, Government of India. It aims to link higher education institutions with local communities to address development challenges through participatory rural appraisal.
Key objectives of UBA:
1. Identify and understand the developmental needs of rural India.
2. Use the knowledge base of higher educational institutions to develop sustainable solutions.
3. Foster a sense of social responsibility among the youth.
The program focuses on five key areas:
1. Education
2. Health and Hygiene
3. Infrastructure Development
4. Livelihood Enhancement
5. Environment and Energy
To achieve its goals, UBA adopts a multi-stakeholder approach, involving institutions of higher education, government agencies, and local communities.
